Because we care about the safety of our students and community members, we urge parents to drive slowly and navigate carefully in Clarksburg, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:

If dropping off in DECS parking lot:

• Use turn-out area and approach from southbound lane of School Street (coming from Clarksburg Road and departing towards Netherlands Road). 
• Ensure all children are ready to exit the vehicle, and help them to do so quickly.
• Be aware and alert! Leave ample space between your vehicle and the one in front of you.

If parking on School Street and walking into campus:

• Cross only at crosswalks.  Crossing guards are on duty before and after school.
• Respect our neighbors. Parking is available on both sides of School Street, but do not block private driveways or move trash cans or other personal property to do so.
